Details:

  • Pay range: $50K-$60K/yr. depending on experience + annual bonus program based on individual performance
  • Schedule: : 8am-5pm Monday - Friday
  • Location: 100% in office in Champlin, MN - after 9 months there is some flexibility
  • Type: Direct Hire with full benefits

Job Duties:

  • Provides customers with accurate and timely information on pricing, inventory, availability, shipping costs, and delivery schedules.
  • Handles customer inquiries, prepares price quotes, and initiates purchase orders.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for many customers and prospects, requiring strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn about Rapid's product lines and provides informed recommendations to customers via phone and email.
  • Collaborates with the sales team to exceed customer service expectations.
  • Processes customer orders, modifications, and returns in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Enhances the customer experience by building and maintaining professional and friendly relationships.
  • Calculates pricing, discounts, shipping fees, and sales margins.
  • Investigates and resolves common customer concerns, including product quality issues and shipment delays.
  • Identifies opportunities for additional sales and suggests relevant products and services to customers.
  • Manages administrative tasks such as filing order records and maintaining accurate customer information in the database.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in a B2B customer service or sales support/order processing role, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience in distribution or packaging industry is helpful
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills in oral and written format
  • Ability to work in a team environment; can manage change and prioritize multiple activities
  • Self-starter; possesses drive and takes initiative on projects and daily responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate directly to customers via phone and email
  • Results driven; detail oriented with a strong sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software and other spreadsheet applications
  • Familiarity to ERP computer software platforms helpful
